The 5th Edition of Conversazioni Aziendali focused on “Water Resilience Blueprint: Finance, Strategy and Innovation in Water Systems”, exploring the strategic role of water within Europe’s industrial and financial landscape.
The discussion highlighted how water is increasingly recognized not only as a public resource, but as a strategic asset capable of generating market value, operational efficiency, environmental protection and social impact. Particular attention was given to the Water Resilience Strategy adopted by the European Commission in June 2025, which outlines over fifty actions to be implemented by 2030 to restore and protect the water cycle while promoting a smart and sustainable water economy.
The role of finance emerged as a key driver of transformation, supported by major European investments including the 15 billion euros allocated by the European Investment Bank for 2025–2027 aimed at strengthening resilient infrastructure, digitalisation and nature-based solutions.
The exchange of perspectives confirmed that responsible and forward-looking water management is becoming a structural pillar for competitiveness, climate resilience and long-term value creation.
Developing a concrete Water Resilience Blueprint is therefore essential to translate strategic principles into operational and innovative action plans capable of generating sustainable returns and ensuring water security for future generations.
